Soccer Fans Must Cheer Cautiously
The National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) extends its congratulation to the Black Stars for their sterling start to the on-going 19th edition of the FIFA WORLD CUP in South Africa and wishes them the best of Luck as they seek to bring honour to the Nation.

The NRSC like many soccer fans remain confident in the ability of the Stars to shine and glitter especially with the support they enjoy from millions of soccer fans from far and near.

The importance of the “twelfth player” to the world cup dream is not lost on us.

The NSRC however wishes to urge soccer fans to be cautious in their support and celebration for the Black Stars and avoid all kinds of acts that seek to endanger their lives and that of other road users particularly drink driving, high speeds and the disregard for traffic rules by motorcyclists and motorists.

The Commission wishes to remind all road users that, while high speed is responsible for about 60% of all road crashes in Ghana, alcohol slows down your reaction time, increases risk and gives a false sense of confidence.

Let’s cheer our Stars and celebrate the goals but avoid over-speeding and drink driving.

Black Stars need your support, Ghana needs your life.

Stay alive and cheer our Stars to victory. Go Ghana, Go Black Stars

Road Safety is a shared and collective responsibility. It must start with you.

Thank you

Signed
Kwame Koduah Atuahene
